I am concerned with the rapid loss of farmland, forests, wetlands, wildlife habitats and scenic vistas throughout the Sourlands, which is adversely affecting the rural character of our communities and our quality of life.

I believe that a little progress never hurt anyone, and that we already have plenty of preserved farmland and open space.

I am concerned that we may already be adversely affecting the natural resources and ecosystems of the Sourlands, especially our water resources, and that we need to do more in order to carefully manage growth and maintain a balance with nature.

There is plenty of room and adequate water to accommodate substantial additional development in the Sourlands, and the last thing we need is more regulations.

I am concerned that unmanaged or excessive growth will result in higher taxes to build and maintain roads, sewers, schools and water supplies, as well as provide municipal services.

STRONGLY AGREE   AGREE   NEUTRAL   DISAGREE   STRONGLY DISAGREE

More development will provide more ratables which will stabilize our taxes.

We need to do more to protect wildlife habitat, particularly for threatened or endangered species.

Forget about saving the critters – we need to focus on making housing more affordable and more available for people.

We should identify areas which should be protected from new development, such as farms, woodlands, watersheds and parks, as well as areas where development should be directed.

I do not believe that it is appropriate for the government to tell individual landowners what they can and cannot do with their land.

STRONGLY AGREE   AGREE   NEUTRAL   DISAGREE   STRONGLY DISAGREE

We need to consider using new tools to manage growth, such as clustering, transfer of development rights, and transit villages, in order to achieve our goals before it is too late.

STRONGLY AGREE   AGREE   NEUTRAL   DISAGREE   STRONGLY DISAGREE

Current zoning and other regulations are more than adequate to manage and direct growth, and enough is enough already.
