What lives on the Reserve?
Learn more about the plants and animals that call the Watershed Reserve home! From Nature’s Calendar — a month-by-month look at what you can expect to see at the Watershed Reserve — to detailed scientific reports, we offer an array of resources to choose from.
Biological Inventory
In early 1996 Jeff Hoagland, Watershed Association Education Director, organized a biological inventory of the Reserve. He brought together a team of volunteers from the area with an interest in and knowledge of the natural world to survey the property and to report on what species they found and identified. Surveys were conducted from February 1996 through October 1997.
The survey results are summarized six categories: Birds, Vertebrates, Invertebrates, Plants, Fungi and Algae. Here is a short summary of the number of species found in each category. Click here to read the full Survey Results.
