Why now?
Each day the challenges facing our water and environment continue to mount. Before it is too late we need to significantly strengthen our ability to be an agent for changing behaviors and creating policies to protect our natural resources.
How will the new Environmental Center help?
It will increase our program capacity by more than doubling our available space, provide teaching and research facilities to increase the rigor and sophistication of our scientific and educational curriculum, and model innovative behaviors and technologies to reduce energy and water consumption and restore environmental health.
When will work begin?
Successful fundraising and permitting will allow construction to begin in 2012. The campus-wide improvements will take 12 to 18 months to complete.
How much is being raised
The Pass It On goal is $10 million. This sum is required to fulfill the components of Our Bold Vision and meet our endowment goal. To date more than $5 million has been raised.
