Summer Camp
The Watershed Association’s Nature and Environmental Summer Day Camp connects the soul of the child to the heartbeat of the natural world. For six weeks every summer the camp is open to children entering first through ninth grades. For each age-specific camp session, our professional staff plans new and exciting activities such as stream explorations, tracking adventures, insect safaris, nature crafts, journaling and play-oriented activities. Older campers will enjoy canoeing, backpacking, camping and night hikes.
Campers will explore fields or forests and experience encounters with nature’s
magic — a baby bird taking its first flight from its nest, salamanders hiding under streamside rocks, or dew drops lined up on the strands of a spider web. Using our 860-acre Watershed Reserve’s field, forest, pond and stream as a campus, our Nature and Environmental Summer Day Camp embraces and explores the wonders of nature. We aim to provide children with a deeper understanding of the local ecology, the environment in general and their place on the planet.
