Kid Zone
The Kid Zone is a work-in-progress that encourages children to explore their environment. It will in the future include a Junior Naturalist program, printable games and activities, and eventually, interactive explorations.
Kid Zone features two components at this time:
The first is our Water Calculator, which helps to demonstrate that water conservation begins at home. Calculate your water consumption and encourage your parents to develop a plan to increase water conservation at home. You can make this your first step towards becoming a River-Friendly Resident.
The second is our Be Out There Children’s Art Corner where you can submit art each season that showcases the natural world in your community. This summer we are seeking art that illustrates life in a stream in your hometown. Click here and then print out our Life in My Stream template. Each season, we will display some of the artwork here in the Art Corner.
