We offer birthday parties for our MEMBERS which are held on our reserve for children turning 4 years old to 12 years old! We provide a fun and educational experience. It will be a birthday party to remember!

Party Themes:

DISCOVER THE SEASON – Ages 4 and up
Children will explore the magic of the season while hiking through the field and forest. A mural will be made for the birthday person at the end of the walk.

WHO LIVES THERE? – Ages 4 – 8
On a trek through meadow and forest, children will explore a variety of animal homes – from under logs to homes in trees.

ANIMALS IN THEIR HABITATS – Ages 9 – 12
Children will investigate wildlife homes, diets and signs of various animals throughout our trails.

INSECT SAFARI
Children will learn what an insect is, how they live, and where to find them through activities and a hike.

TRACKING – Ages 7 – 12
Children will learn to identify animal tracks and other signs left by our native wildlife and create a story-telling track mural.

EASTERN NATIVE AMERICAN – Ages 6 – 12
During a walk through the trails, children will play some games and learn how Native Americans survived. In addition, the children will have their faces painted.

BUTTERFLY TEA – Ages 6 – 9
Young ladies will delight at the chance to dress up in their summer finery and take tea with the butterflies. In addition to visiting the butterfly house, we’ll make a butterfly craft and play a game before we serve tea and lemonade in china cups. Available June through September. [Additional $50 cost]

Party Participants:

Children turning 4 to 12 years old
A party of 1 – 15 children including birthday child and siblings
Sorry, no parties for children under 4 years of age

Party Schedule:

Parties are hosted Tuesday through Saturday.
Have several dates in mind when calling to book your party as we may not be able to accommodate your first choice.

Parties can begin as early as 10:00 a.m. or as late as 2:00 p.m.
The parties are 2 hours plus a 1/2 hour for set-up and a 1/2 hour for clean-up.

Nature Center staff provide up to 1.5 hours of activitiy for the party.
The additional 1/2 hour is yours to eat cake, play games, and open presents.

Party Cost:

Basic Fee for Members – $150 plus $50 refundable security deposit*

Basic Fee for Non-members – $200 plus $50 refundable security deposit*
                                            ($150 party fee plus $50 family membership)

Butterfly Tea Party – $50 addtional for both members and non-members

Party Set-up:

Parents are responsible for tablecloths, plates, cups, flatware, napkins, and food and beverages.

Optional – Parents may provide decorations that are easily removed without damage to the room

Party Clean-up:

Parents are responsible for cleaning the entire party space, which includes wiping tables, cleaning the floor, throwing garbage and recyclable materials in proper receptacles, and taking down any decorations.

* If cleanup is satisfactory and no damage has occurred, security deposit will be returned.
