Jim Waltman, Executive Director, ext. 22
Jim has served as Executive Director of the Watershed Association since April 2005. He regularly speaks at community events and municipal meetings throughout central New Jersey, serving as a go-to resource for government officials and community leaders on how to best protect clean water and the environment throughout the region. Prior to joining the Watershed Association, Jim was director of the refuges and wildlife program for the Wilderness Society in Washington D.C. For 10 years he represented the Society on issues relating to the National Wildlife Refuge System, Alaska public lands, endangered species, and other wildlife matters. He spent five years as a wildlife specialist at the National Audubon Society before joining the Wilderness Society. Jim has a biology degree from Princeton University and a Master of Environmental Studies from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.

Conservation
Bay Weber, Conservation Director, ext. 21
Bay began working for Watershed Association in April 2003. As Conservation Director she oversees the Watershed Association’s conservation efforts at our 860-acre Watershed Reserve and throughout our watershed region, including the Watershed Association’s River-Friendly stewardship program. She is a Certified Landscape Architect in New Jersey, having a total of almost 25 years in practice, focusing on institutional, corporate and residential work. Bay received a Master of Landscape Architecture from North Carolina State University’s School of Design, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia.
Advocacy
Jennifer Coffey, Policy Director, ext. 18
As Policy Director, Jennifer oversees projects that support proactive planning and environmental stewardship. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and dual Masters degrees in Environmental Policy Studies and Environmental Science. She has worked with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Region II and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Association as a researcher and program coordinator bringing key stakeholders together to revitalize brownfields in urban communities. A resident of Upper Freehold, NJ she chairs the Upper Freehold Environmental Advisory Committee and has served as a member of the Planning Board.

Science
Amy Soli, Science Director, ext. 35
Amy joined the Watershed Association as Science Director in 2010 and guides our work monitoring water quality, restoring ailing habitats and protecting our natural resources. Prior to coming to the Watershed Association, Amy served as a senior environmental scientist for Omni Environmental and was the senior aquatic ecologist for Princeton Hydro. Amy received her Ph.D. in the Marine-Estuarine-Environmental Sciences Program at the University of Maryland and is an adjunct professor of biology and geology at Middlesex Community College. She is currently the co-chair of the Environmental Business Council’s Water and Land Use Committee, Chair of the NJ Chapter of the American Water Resources Association’s Student Chapter and active with the NJ Society of Women Environmental Professionals and the North American Benthological Society.

Education
Jeff Hoagland, Education Director, ext. 25
Jeff has dedicated more than 25 years to the Watershed Association and environmental education. As Education Director he provides the vision and direction for the Watershed Association’s education program, overseeing staff and interns. He leads workshops and programs for teachers, students and the public, partners with local organizations and municipal groups, speaks at community events and inspires others to love the natural world through outlets like his Kids & Nature Blog. Jeff earned a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resource Management – Wildlife Science from Cook College at Rutgers University and has earned numerous awards and distinctions for his environmental leadership, including the Patricia F. Kane Lifetime Achievement Award for Environmental Education from the Alliance for Environmental Edcuation and the Patricia F. Kane Environmental Education Award for Excellence from the New Jersey Audubon Society. Jeff also writes and published haiku and enjoys sharing nature with his family.

Membership & Development
Anita Hanft, Director of Membership & Development, ext. 36
Anita joined the Watershed Association in December 2011. As Director of Membership & Development, she is responsible for generating support for the Watershed Association and the Pass It On Campaign through communications, marketing and interfacing with donors, corporations and foundations. After several years in management consulting, Anita began her career in Development at Princeton University before becoming the Director of Development and Community Relations at The Chapin School. She comes to the Watershed Association from her role as Director of Mission Advancement at HomeFront.
