Driving Directions

Below are driving directions to the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association, Watershed Reserve and Buttinger Nature Center. All are located at 31 Titus Mill Road, Pennington, NJ 08534. Questions? Call the Buttinger Nature Center at (609) 737-7592 or Johnson Environmental Center at (609) 737-3735.

From Rt. 206 traveling South from Princeton

- Turn right on Carter Road.

- Turn left on Elm Ridge Road.

- At the light, turn right onto Pennington-Rocky Hill Road.

- Turn left on Titus Mill Road. Pass Wargo Road on the right (at our first white and green sign) and the entrance to Bristol-Myers Squibb on the left.

- Turn right to enter the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association (the long paved driveway immediately before our white and green sign).

- Parking for the Buttinger Nature Center is on the left. Parking for the Johnson Environmental Center is on the right.

- To exit: Proceed past the Buttinger Nature Center back onto Titus Mill Road.

From I-295 traveling North

- I-295 North becomes I-95 South. Take Exit 4 for Rt. 31 North to Pennington.

- When you reach the circle, go straight onto Pennington Road which becomes Main Street. The 25 MPH speed limit is strictly enforced.

- At the traffic light, turn right onto Delaware Avenue, which becomes Pennington-Rocky Hill Road.

- Pass Bristol-Myers Squibb and turn left onto Titus Mill Road. Pass Wargo Road on the right (at our first white and green sign) and the entrance to Bristol-Myers Squibb on the left.

- Turn right to enter the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association (the long paved driveway immediately before our white and green sign).

- Parking for the Buttinger Nature Center is on the left. Parking for the Johnson Environmental Center is on the right.

- To exit: Proceed past the Buttinger Nature Center back onto Titus Mill Road.

From Rt. 31 traveling South – Passenger Vehicles

- Go through Flemington staying on Rt. 31/202. Exit onto Rt. 31 South.

- Go 3 miles south of the intersection of Rt. 31 and Rt. 518.

- Pass the brown “Watershed Nature Center” sign and turn left at the traffic light at Titus Mill Road. (BUSES and COMMERCIAL VEHICLES see separate directions from this point below.)

- Proceed on Titus Mill Road. Turn left to enter the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association (the long paved driveway immediately before our white and green sign).

- Parking for the Buttinger Nature Center is on the left. Parking for the Johnson Environmental Center is on the right.

- To exit: Proceed past the Buttinger Nature Center back onto Titus Mill Road.

From Rt. 31 traveling South – Commercial Vehicles

An overpass on Titus Mill Road is too low and narrow for commercial buses and vehicles.

- Continue past the traffic light at Titus Mill Road on Rt. 31 South to the traffic light at Delaware Avenue.

- Turn left onto Delaware Avenue proceed through Pennington. Delaware Avenue becomes Pennington Rocky Hill Road.

- Pass Bristol-Myers Squibb and turn left onto Titus Mill Road. Pass Wargo Road on the right (at our first white and green sign) and the entrance to Bristol-Myers Squibb on the left.

- Turn right to enter the Stony Brook-Millstone Watershed Association (the long paved driveway immediately before our white and green sign).

- Parking for the Buttinger Nature Center is on the left. Parking for the Johnson Environmental Center is on the right.

- To exit: Proceed past the Buttinger Nature Center back onto Titus Mill Road.
