The 2 acre Grover's Mill Pond site alongside the Millstone River and Cranbury Brook in Plainsboro was a reforested in the Fall of 2000. This site was chosen to aid Plainsboro Township's efforts to protect and preserve natural areas as open spaces. Cranbury Brook is an impaired waterway listed on the State?s 303(d) list. The 558 native trees that were planted will provide a variety of environmental benefits including filtering stormwater runoff, cleaning air pollution, providing habitat for a variety of birds and mammals, and reducing downstream sedimentation.
