Beden Brook at The Bedens Brook Club in Montgomery was restored Spring 2001. The restoration covered 88 liner ft. of streambank.
In order to introduce the golf course to the River-Friendly Golf Course Program, a restoration was performed along a section of the Beden Brook at Fairway #3. This site was restored to educate golfers and residents about the benefits of adequate stream buffers while still providing for recreational opportunities for its residents. The 374 newly installed plants will help to maintain the integrity of the streambanks and reduce downstream sedimentation due to accelerated erosion.
